prep & maintenance instructions
The prep and the maintenance of your skin plays a big role in the overall results of your body buffing service. Following these instructions will ensure you get the best results in your treatment.
Prior to Buffing
- Come to your appointment with clean skin. Absolutely no lotions, moisturizers or oils on the skin. Even if applied the night before, be sure to rinse it off. The buffing will not work as well with moisturizers on the skin.
- Come to your appointment with loose dark clothing to change into. Your skin will be heavily moisturized with a coco/shea butter & almond oil mix. It will be more comfortable to wear loose clothing afterwards.
- Shaving is not necessary; the buffing will remove hairs.
- During the treatment you can wear underwear (thongs preferred).
- It is recommended to do your Body Buffing treatment 1-3 days before any spray tan appointments. We DO NOT suggest doing the Body Buffing treatment the same day as your spray tan.
after bUFFING
- Avoid hot baths or showers for 24 hours.
- Continue to moisturize as needed over the next 24-48 hours.
- Any irritation from buffing will subside within 24 hours.
- Avoid sun tanning for 24 hours to prevent sunburns.
- Buffing should not be done more than twice a month to avoid irritation and over exfoliating of the skin.
- Buffing will help remove majority of old sunless tanner but not guaranteed to completely remove all of it. Light exfoliation in areas that have remaining sunless tanner is suggested.
